Crowns, Bridges and Dentures
Custom restorations that rebuild broken, cracked or missing teeth so you can eat, speak and smile comfortably again, all designed at our Anchorage, AK office.
What Are Crowns, Bridges and Dentures?
A crown is a custom cap that covers a damaged tooth and restores its strength and shape. A bridge fills the gap left by one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the teeth on either side.
Dentures replace a full arch or a group of missing teeth. We make both full and partial dentures with real comfort in mind, matching shade and shape to your face so the result looks like it belongs to you.
Who Needs a Crown, Bridge or Denture?
Restorative work is usually the next step once a tooth has been treated, damaged or lost.
- A tooth that cracked or broke while eating
- A large old filling that keeps failing
- A tooth finished with root canal therapy
- One or more missing teeth in a row
- A denture that slips, rubs or no longer fits
- Difficulty chewing on one side of your mouth
How Does a Crown Save a Damaged Tooth?
A crown wraps a cracked or weakened tooth in a strong custom cap, so you can chew on it again without worry. This short video walks through how crowns work and when one is the right call.
What Should I Expect From the Process?
Plan the Restoration
We look at the tooth and your bite, then explain the options and what each one costs before starting.
Prepare and Match
We shape the tooth or take impressions and match the shade and contour to your natural teeth.
Fit and Refine
The finished restoration is seated, then adjusted until your bite feels even and nothing rubs.
Follow-Up Adjustments
New dentures often need small tweaks. Those visits are part of the plan, not an afterthought.
Which Dentures Are Right for You?
Full, partial and implant-supported dentures each solve a different problem. This video explains the options in plain terms so you can come in knowing what questions to ask.
Will It Look and Feel Natural?
Shade and shape matching is where the difference shows, so we take our time with it rather than settling for close enough. If something feels high, sore or bulky after you go home, tell us and we will adjust it. The goal is a restoration you stop thinking about because it simply works.
What Else Do Patients Ask About Crowns and Dentures?
How long does a crown take?
Most crowns involve a preparation visit and a seating visit. We will tell you the timeline for your specific tooth up front.
Do you offer implant-supported options?
Yes. Implants and implant-supported dentures are handled by the same team, so you stay with one office.
Can a crown save a cracked tooth?
Often yes, if the crack has not reached below the gumline. We will take an X-ray and let you know whether a crown is enough or if the tooth needs a different approach.
How long do crowns and dentures last?
With good home care and regular checkups, a crown can last 10-15 years and dentures typically last 5-10 years. We will show you how to keep them clean so they last as long as possible.
What if my denture rubs or feels loose?
Call us. Most denture problems are fixed with a quick adjustment or reline. A loose denture can also irritate the gums, so it is better to address it early.
What Other Care Might I Need?
Related treatments are handled by the same team in the same office, so you never have to start over somewhere else.
